Vision Insurance Exam

1.⁠ ⁠Routine vision exams for glasses and contact lenses
2.⁠ ⁠Checks for refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism)
3.⁠ ⁠Frame and lens coverage
4.⁠ ⁠Contact lens fitting and coverage
5.⁠ ⁠Typically covered once a year
 
Examples of conditions covered:

2.⁠ ⁠Hyperopia (farsightedness)
3.⁠ ⁠Astigmatism
4.⁠ ⁠Presbyopia (age-related vision loss)

Medical Insurance Exam

2.⁠ ⁠Comprehensive eye health evaluation
3.⁠ ⁠Diagnostic testing (e.g., OCT, visual field, fundus photography)

Our office will bill your Medical Insurance when

3.⁠ ⁠Blurry vision is due to a condition that is not fixed my glasses or contact lenses
 
In most cases, medical insurances can be used for comprehensive eye exams.
